# gtkPod Issues

Although gtkPod is almost without any issues what so ever and it is
great (or "great") piece of software I'm glad for, sometimes it just
happens (probably like with everything).

# Issue No. 1
The very first issue I'm going to note is:

"The iPod could not be ejected. Please fix the 
problems mentioned below and then eject the iPod again. Pressing 'OK' will 
re-schedule the failed tracks for conversion and transfer."

This non-saying error has appeared and I could only delete from iPod,
but not upload. Thinking about it, I might seen this one very long
time ago. Anyway, another "symptom" was not seeing free space left.

After searching around the internet, I've found out (at one forum) I'm
missing codecs and what not. And my journey in wrong direction has
begun.

It's not the codecs that's the problem nor anything else, but
'orphaned files' and iPod itself. So the fix is very trivial and one
could say, if there is problem with iPod, use checks bundled with
gtkPod first.

In main menu:

Music
  --> Check iPod's files

And that should do the trick - finds all 'orphaned files' which I've
deleted, freed huge ammount of space on iPod and was able to upload
new "beatz" :) I hope somebody is going to find this one usefull, at
least a bit.
